As we embark upon the holy month of Ramadan in Yemen, we are all reminded of Islam’s message of compassion, generosity, and faith. Muslims throughout the world are coming together with family and friends to reflect on the blessings that God bestows upon us. Acts of charity, fasting, and prayer, remind us all of the universal obligation we have to help those less fortunate and of our common humility.
In the United States, our Muslim communities are also marking Ramadan with friends and family – Muslim and non-Muslim alike. This year, I am honored to spend Ramadan with you here in Yemen.
May the peace and blessings of Ramadan be with you, your families, and your friends. On behalf of the United States of America and our staff at the U.S. Embassy in Sana’a, I wish all of you a deeply meaningful and transformative month. Ramandan Mubarak!
