The Group of Ten Ambassadors welcomes today’s cabinet formation announcement as an important step in meeting the aspirations of the Yemeni people through a capable, technocratic-based government that will work to address the numerous economic, humanitarian, political, and security challenges facing Yemen today. We encourage all parties and political elements to offer their full support for the new government in accordance with their previously stated complete commitment to supporting the President and Prime Minister in the formation process. The Group of Ten Ambassadors look forward to working with the new cabinet.
In the days ahead, we are confident that the new ministers will do their best to implement the Peace and National Partnership Agreement, National Dialogue Conference Outcomes, and the GCC Initiative. Collectively, these documents offer an important roadmap for building a prosperous, democratic, unified state that benefits the Yemeni people. Any efforts to obstruct the implementation of the vision articulated in these documents runs counter to the demands of the Yemeni people and jeopardizes the country’s security, stability and economic development.
